Site Remediation

What is remediation?

Remediation is the process of removing contaminants that have been polluted from industrial, manufacturing, and commercial activities. From pilot tests to full-scale remediation systems, SED can install various remedial techniques to meet your clean-up objectives.

Recovery Wells (Extraction Wells)

When contamination is known to be present, SED can install 4” or 6” recovery wells for pump and treat systems.

Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) and Air Sparge (AS) Points.

When needed for a pilot test or a full-scale system, SED can install SVE and AS points through the DT37 tooling system or hollow stem augers.

Piezometer Installation

Piezometers can be installed through DT37 tooling system and hollow stem augers.

Inclinometer Installation

SED can install inclinometers to observe subsurface movement and provide information on developing instabilities. This allows engineers and scientists to make informed decisions on possible remedial actions.

Bio-remediation injection events and Groundwater Barrier Systems

SED utilizes a Geoprobes 2.25” pressure activated injection probe in combination with a Hydra-Cell® seal-less MEO3 pump operating at 2.1 gallons per minute (gpm), 1500 Pounds per square inch (PSI) and 75 Microns to meet all your injection needs.

Monitoring Well Decommissioning

SED is certified to perform decommissioning and sealing activities of monitoring wells.
